Police Find Missing Woman Near Barre Falls Dam

BARRE, MA — State police are reporting that a woman missing for almost 24 hours was found Thursday morning near the Barre Falls Dam.

Barre police and firefighters and the state police Special Emergency Response Team assisted in the search on Thursday morning. The woman was not seriously hurt, but was taken to the hospital for an evaluation. She had been missing since around noon Wednesday.

The Barre Falls Dam is a sprawling park that includes a disc golf course, trails, and is the confluence of several waterways. The woman was hiking in the area when she went missing.
