Cops Find Possible Bomb Materials In Worcester During Drug Search

WORCESTER, MA — Police found possible bomb-making materials during a search of a Kelley Square apartment on Wednesday related to a drug investigation.

State and Worcester police began searching an apartment at 85 Harding St. Wednesday morning. The search was halted when the materials were found. The building was evacuated, and Harding Street was closed for much of the day.

A bomb squad and hazmat team were called to the scene, but officials did not immediately say what the materials turned out to be.

The drug investigation was related to the arrest of two local men on Tuesday. David Dolan, 38, of Worcester, was being held on charges of home invasion and illegal possession of a firearm. Weah Wisner, 33, of Worcester, was also ordered held on charges of trafficking cocaine between 18 and 36 grams, distributing cocaine, and multiple gun law violations.
