Police, Off-Road Riders Clash In Worcester, 8 Arrested
Up to 20 people riding off-road vehicles were corralled by police Sunday at a rail yard along the Blackstone River in Worcester.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester, Millbury and state environmental police on Sunday arrested eight people after a confrontation at a rail yard along the Blackstone River, according to the department.
Police responded to the rail yard at 150 Blackstone River Road near 4 p.m. Sunday after a report that up to 20 people on ATVs and dirt bikes riding around on the private property. Police surrounded the property, but several of the off-road riders drove through the perimeter or ditched their vehicles and ran off.
Seven people — including three people under age 18 — were arrested and charged with trespassing. One man, a 24-year-old resident of Great Brook Valley Avenue, was also charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Worcester police also seized five off-road vehicles and three guns during the Sunday incident.
