Police Search for Suspect Who Shot 16-Year-Old Boy in the Back
Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Lincoln Street in Worcester Saturday evening.

WORCESTER, MA—Police are looking for a suspect who shot a teenager in the back on Lincoln Street Saturday evening.
On Saturday, Oct. 1, around 7:43 p.m. police responded to the area of 267 Lincoln St., where someone had reportedly been shot. Police found the victim, a 16-year-old male, at the hospital, where a friend had driven him. The victim was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the back, and his injuries were considered non-life threatening.
Officers at the scene interviewed several witnesses and recovered ballistic evidence. During the investigation, police learned that a suspect is described as possibly a male, with a medium complexion, thin build and approximately 6 feet tall. After the shooting, the suspect was seen running toward McKinely.
The investigation is ongoing.
