Preventing Stormwater from Running Into Indian Lake

The DPW poured concrete this week to prevent stormwater from running into the lake.

WORCESTER, MA—This week, Worcester's Department of Public Works and Parks made important improvements at Clason Road Beach.

The DPW installed porous concrete to allow stormwater runoff from the parking lot, letting the water infiltrate the ground instead of running into Indian Lake. The concrete prevents stormwater from reaching the lake.
