Regional Director Named For Small Business Development Center

Clark University has chosen Richard S. Cheney as their new Regional Director of the Small Business Development Center.

WORCESTER, MA - From Clark University: Richard S. Cheney has been appointed Regional Director of the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Clark University.

Cheney recently served as the director of operations of the Graduate School of Business at Bryant University and as associate director of Continuing Education and Community Engagement at Central Connecticut State University.

Cheney held various roles of increasing responsibility at the Connecticut Small Business Development Center (CSBDC) at the University of Connecticut School of Business, serving most recently as interim state director. The CSBDC provides customized advising, education and network resources to entrepreneurs and small businesses in Connecticut.

Cheney completed his undergraduate studies at Hobart College in Geneva, New York, and earned his MBA from the University of Connecticut in Storrs.

The Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network is a partnership program with the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Massachusetts Office of Business Development. The SBDC at Clark provides free and confidential one-to-one management advice and technical assistance to prospective and existing small businesses in Central Massachusetts.
