Reliant Medical To Open At Auburn Mall

AUBURN, MA—Auburn Mall, a Simon property, announced on Friday that Reliant Medical Group will open in 2018. Construction is expected to begin this fall.

Reliant Medical Group, which provides nationally-recognized care, was the first group medical practice in Central Massachusetts, having been established in 1929, said the press release. Today, with 25 locations, more than 500 providers and more than 320,000 patients, it’s the largest independent medical group in Central and Metrowest Massachusetts, after having merged with Southboro Medical Group in 2015. Reliant offers both adult and pediatric primary and specialty care, along with a range of ancillary services. Reliant’s Auburn Mall location will also offer cardiology, endocrinology and OG/Gyn services.

“We look forward to the opportunity to add valuable medical care to our service offerings with Reliant Medical Group’s opening at the mall next year,” said Justin Feldhouse, Area Mall Manager, Auburn Mall, in a statement. “We hope to provide not only added amenities, but also convenience to our shoppers: if they have an appointment with Reliant, they can do other shopping while onsite for needs like apparel, shoes or beauty products, and even grab a bite to eat in our Food Court.”

Reliant expects to locate approximately 185 employees in the Auburn Mall office and provide outpatient services to more than 45,000 people annually. Walk-in care will not be available at this facility, as it is intended for Reliant patients with scheduled appointments. The medical group will custom design its space to meet the needs of its patients and employees.

A fall 2017 groundbreaking ceremony will be planned.
