UPDATE: 2 Dead in Worcester Shooting, Shooter(s) on the Run
A man and a woman were shot dead in a Forbes Street apartment in Worcester. The couple was reportedly the target of a home invasion in 2013.

WORCESTER, MA — A man and woman are dead after a shooting inside a Worcester apartment on Thursday evening.
On March 10 at 7:41 p.m., Worcester police responded to a report of shots fired at 8 Forbes St. Officers found one 26-year-old woman was deceased, and a 28-year-old man suffered serious injuries.
The male was taken to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.

Numerous police officers and WPD detectives responded to the scene and secured the area along with members of the Crime Scene Unit.
The deceased woman is Jessica McKeon, 26. She has a six year old daughter, and the male victim was reportedly her boyfriend, and both were working on getting custody of the child, reported WCVB-TV News. Worcester police confirmed the deceased male as Alex Lora. Both had pending drug charges, reported MassLive.

Lora was reportedly shot in the hand during a home invasion in Worcester, reports the Worcester Telegram and Gazette, during which McKeon was present, in 2013. The Telegram also reports that Lora was arrested for drug activity in 2007.
Police are working on finding a motive, processing evidence, and interviewing witnesses.
