WORCESTER, MA — It's time to get back to seeing live music: Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band will make a stop in Worcester this summer.

Starr and a crew of other heavy-hitting musicians — including Edgar Winter, Hamish Stuart and Gregg Bissonette — will play the Hanover Theatre in downtown Worcester in early June. Tickets will go on sale on Friday.

Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band have been touring since the 1980s with a rotating cast of musicians anchored by the Beatles drummer. Over the years, musicians like Slash, Stevie Nicks, Steven Tyler and Pete Townshend have joined the band to perform Starr's own music and Beatles songs.

Ringo's Worcester stop comes hot on the heels of the Peter Jackson documentary "Get Back," which chronicles the creation of the Beatles album "Let It Be." The new tour is a makeup for dates scheduled almost two years ago that were postponed due to the pandemic.

The 2022 Starr tour will also include stops on June 2 in Boston at the Wang Theatre and on June 4 at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. Starr and his band will return to Massachusetts in mid-June to play Tanglewood.
