SHREWSBURY, MA — Route 9 Westbound in Shrewsbury was closed on Tuesday afternoon because a large tree fell on power lines, according to the Shrewsbury Fire Department.
Emergency response crews worked on the scene, which is just west of South Street. A number of residents also lost power.
Police said that eastbound traffic was also delayed.
