Second Arrest After Fatal Worcester Shooting Near Paku Lounge

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police have made a second arrest in connection to a fatal May shooting outside the Paku Lounge along Chandler Street.

Worcester police on Monday said a 26-year-old Lewis Street resident was arrested on Friday on a warrant. Angel Ortiz-Santos, 28, was charged in May in connection to the shooting, according to the Worcester County District Attorney.

Ortiz-Santos was previously charged with first-degree murder following the 2015 shooting death of Christian Omar Puello-Rosado in Worcester. He was found not guilty in 2018, according to reports.

Carlos Cruz, 44, a UMass Memorial employee, was found with multiple gunshot wounds early in the morning on May 8 along Chandler Street. He later died at a hospital, according to police.
