Shooting In Worcester Leaves Man Injured: Police

The shooting happened early Thursday morning along Southbridge Street, according to police.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police responded to an injury shooting early Thursday morning along Southbridge Street.

Worcester police received an alert about a shooting around 12:30 a.m. Thursday and later found a wounded man in a parking lot near Hurricane Betty's.

"Officers rendered medical aid until Worcester EMS arrived on scene and transported him to the hospital. The victim appeared to be suffering from non-life threatening injuries," police said in a news release.

Police did not immediately announce any arrests related the incident.

Worcester police arrested a 20-year-old man this week following a shooting early Easter morning in the Union Hill area.
