Six Young Pups Found Tied In Bag In Uxbridge River: Police Seek Suspect(s)
Police are searching for "information that could lead us to the low life that could commit such a heinous act." :
UXBRIDGE, MA—Six very young puppies are getting a second chance after a kayaker found them dumped in a river in Uxbridge on Sunday.
The pups were found tied up in a grain bag and left for dead in a river near River Road, said police.
"If you have any information that could lead us to the low life that could commit such a heinous act, contact Officer Benjamin Smoot at Uxbridge PD," wrote Uxbridge Police.
The Uxbridge Animal Control Officer responded to the scene and took possession of the puppies. According to police, they are all doing well, considering the circumstances, "and we believe they will all survive. The puppies are currently being kept together, and are being cared for by a professional until they are able to be adopted."
