8 Recreational Marijuana Shops Could Be Open By Weekend
Three more recreational pot shops were given the OK to open by the CCC this week.
The sixth, seventh and eighth recreational marijuana store will open in Massachusetts as early as this weekend.
Theory Wellness in Great Barrington will be the first recreational pot shop in the Berkshires starting 10 a.m. Friday, after the Cannabis Control Commission granted the final go-ahead Monday.
On Tuesday, the CCC said stores in Hudson and Pittsfield can open as early as this weekend.

The Great Barrington location is already a medical marijuana store. The town of more than 7,000 is just 10 miles from the New York border.
The other recreational marijuana stores in Massachusetts are in Northampton, Easthampton, Salem, Leicester and Wareham. The CCC said at the end of 2018 to expect the openings to ramp up this year.
