The victims were all between the ages of 17 and 20 years old. A fifth person remains in critical condition.

Four Massachusetts people between the ages of 17 and 20 who occupied a reported stolen vehicle out of Connecticut are dead following a Tuesday evening crash in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The fourth victim, 20-year-old Andrew Savage of Springfield, died Thursday. The other three who had died were high school seniors.

A fifth involved in the crash, a male, is in critical condition at Baystate Medical Center. Police believe that he was the driver and, if he survives, he could face vehicular homicide charges, police said.

The SUV, reportedly stolen Saturday in Milford, Connecticut, crashed into a large tree in Springfield around 8 p.m. Tuesday. The speed limit in the area was 20-30 mph and the vehicle was going as fast as 60, according to reports.

All of the victims were from Springfield, police said Thursday.

"It is with great remorse to disclose that a fourth victim from the tragic accident on Union Street ... has died," Springfield police said on social media Thursday afternoon. "This department was just officially notified of the (female's) passing,"

The identity of the four fatalities are as follows:
1) Andrew Savage, 20 of Springfield
2) Katrina Lee Maisonet-Jones, 17 of Springfield
3) Chassidy Spence, 18 of Springfield
4) Adrianna Hernandez, 17 of Springfield

The three females were seniors at Central High.

Sgt. Mel Kwetowski of the Springfield Police Department's "Fatal Squad" of the Traffic Division is coordinating this collaborative investigation with the Massachusetts State Police.

Hampden County District Attorney Anthony Gulluni's office is in charge of the investigation and working on this accident with both police agencies, police said. The investigation is still ongoing.

"The entire Springfield Police Department offers our condolences to the family and friends of all the victims of this tragic motor vehicle accident," said Sgt. John Delaney of the Springfield Police Department.
