Straight Outta Worcester: Famous Faces from Your Hometown
Alicia Witt, now a recurring character on the ABC hit 'Nashville,' was born in Worcester.
WORCESTER, MA—Alicia Witt, recently added to the cast of Nashville, grew up in Worcester.
Also a singer-songwriter and pianist (who released an album in 20090, Witt was born in Worcester in 1975. She was discovered by David Lynch as a child and got the role of Alia Atreides in Dune, as well as guest appearances on "Twin Peaks" later on.
In 1994, she starred in Fun and in 1995 appeared as a music student in Mr. Holland's Opus. Other films include Urban Legend and Vanilla Sky.
But more recently, she's appeared in "Friday Night Lights" and "Law & Order," and now joins the cast as a recurring character - Autumn - in season 4 of "Nashville."
