Stun Guns Lead To Arrest In Shrewsbury On Route 9

The 33-year-old Worcester resident was pulled over along the Boston Turnpike early Tuesday morning.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury police arrested a Worcester resident early Tuesday morning after finding the person carrying multiple stun guns without a license.

Police pulled the 33-year-old over just after 1 a.m. Tuesday along Route 9. When the driver went to retrieve their registration from the glove box, a Shrewsbury officer saw what appeared to be a stun gun in the compartment.

After a search of the car, police found a second stun gun, plus two cartridges that power the nonlethal weapons.

Police arrested the driver on two counts of carrying a firearm without a license, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
