Nawar Jabbar Killing: 2 Men Arrested, Charged
Messiah Amankwah, 18, of Worcester, was charged with murder on Monday. A Spencer man has also been charged.

WORCESTER, MA — An 18-year-old was charged with murder on Monday for the October killing of 17-year-old Nawar Jabbar at a Worcester fast-food restaurant.
Messiah Amankwah, 18, of Gibbs Street, pleaded not guilty during a Monday court appearance, and was ordered held without bail. Diomar Lopez Carrasco, 23, of Spencer, also appeared in court and was charged with accessory to murder after the fact. Carrasco was held on $25,000 bail.
Both men were arrested over the weekend following a nearly month-long investigation into Jabbar's shooting death. But authorities did not immediately say what motivated the killing.
According to prosecutors, Amankwah shot Jabbar while they were sitting inside an SUV at a Park Avenue Wendy's on Oct. 24. Amankwah left the parking lot in a vehicle that Carrasco was driving, prosecutors said.
