WORCESTER, MA -- Starting as a dishwasher at Peppercorns 13 years ago, Chef Marcos “Bigdog” Ferreira, is now the executive chef at one of Worcester’s most popular restaurants.

Long a steady destination on the Central Massachusetts restaurant landscape, Peppercorns is known for its solid menu of Italian fare, burgers, salads and pizza, as well as its beer and wine list and friendly service. And weekly trivia. And the burgers. Did we mention the burgers?

Peppercorns Grille & Tavern is located at 455 Park Ave.

Ferreira said he keeps up with trends by regularly reading and watching cooking shows.
