Teen Arrested After Gunshots In Worcester

Police responded to gunfire along Pleasant Street on Tuesday afternoon.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police arrested a 17-year-old on Tuesday afternoon after responding to a report of gunshots along Pleasant Street.

According to police, officers responded to near Pleasant and Sever streets at 1 p.m. on a report of a shooting. Officers later arrested the 17-year-old near Newton Square.

He was charged with armed assault to murder, multiple gun law violations, and possession of class D drugs with intent to distribute.

This was at least the fourth notable shooting in Worcester so far in August. The month began with a fatal shooting along King Street on Aug. 3. Two people have been charged in connection to that shooting: Amber Gravel, 27, and Jacob Grice., 35. Prosecutors say that Grice opened fire on the victim outside a home.
