Teen Arrested On Assumption Campus After Fleeing Traffic Stop
Police charged the 17-year-old and a passenger after finding a gun in their car.
WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police arrested and charged a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old on Saturday after a brief chase that ended on the Assumption University campus.
At around 3 p.m. Saturday, police approached a car parked in the lot at St. Mary's Church along Salisbury Street. The driver ran from the car onto the nearby university campus. Police said they found him hiding under a bush.
While searching the car, police found a loaded handgun.
The 17-year-old driver was charged with weapons violations, disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct. Passenger Nathan Russell was charged with trespassing and weapons violations.
