Teen Arrested in Connection With 2015 Shooting Murder

Qwandre Bath was arrested this week in connection with the murder of Samuel Castro.

WORCESTER, MA — A teenager has been arrested in connection with a murder that happened in May of 2015 in Worcester.

On Tuesday, Nov. 22, around 3:30 p.m., Worcester police went to a Stanton Street address to locate Qwandre Bath, 19, of Worcester, with an arrest warrant in hand in connection for the May 2015 murder of 18-year-old Samuel Castro on Frederick Street. Bath was arrested for manslaughter, assault with a dangerous weapon, and carrying a firearm without a license.

The charges stem from a murder that occurred on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, when police were called to Frederick Street for a report of an assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. When police arrived, they found an 18-year-old male suffering from a single gunshot would. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he died.

At the time, it was the city's third homicide of 2015.
