Teen Girl Killed, 3 Teens Hospitalized In I-190 Crash
The 16-year-old girl was killed when State Police said the Ford Mustang she was in went off the road and down an embankment in Leominster.
LEOMINSTER, MA — A 16-year-old girl was killed and three other teens were hospitalized after the car they were driving in together went off Route I-190, down and embankment and into the woods in Leominster early Thursday night.
State police said the 16-year-old from Ayer was pronounced dead at the scene. An 18-year-old male from Shirley, believed to be the driver, was taken to Leominster Hospital. A 16-year-old girl from Shirley and an 18-year-old male from Bolton were both taken to the UMass Memorial Medical University Campus in Worcester.
The condition of the injured teens was not updated as of Friday morning.

Police said Leominster firefighters responded to the crash shortly after 7 p.m. and were able to extricate the three injured teens from inside or under the 2001 Ford Mustang.
Police said a preliminary investigation determined the Mustang was traveling northbound in the right lane and the driver lost control when switching to the left lane. The car then went into a spin and off the right side of the highway.

The road was partially shut down until about 9:30 p.m.
