Teen Killed in Weekend Crash; Driver Charged With Drunk Driving, Vehicular Homicide
A teenager was killed over the weekend in a car crash, the driver unharmed and another passenger in the hospital.

LUNENBURG, MA—A teenaged passenger was killed early Saturday morning in a one-car crash on Hollis Road in Lunenburg, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Austin J. Robbins, 18, of 32 Whalom Road, Lunenburg died. A second passenger, Sean McNiff, 19, of 24 Kingman St., Lunenburg was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver, Joseph Kapp, 19, Chapman Park, Gardner, was not injured and was later arrested and charged with motor vehicle homicide by operating under the influence of alcohol; operating under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation causing serious bodily injury; and operating under the influence of alcohol.
He is being held on $10,000 bail for his appearance on those charges on Monday in Fitchburg District Court.
The crash occurred on Hollis Road at about 3:15 a.m. The 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer went out of control near the crest of a hill and struck several trees. The crash remains under investigation by the Lunenburg Police and the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
