This Time, MA Man Wins Only $1 Million In Lottery
James Peddle's scratch ticket luck must be running out, considering he won $10 million five years ago.

BOSTON — This time it's just a million, but James Peddle probably doesn't mind. Five years after winning $10 million on a scratch ticket, Peddle won $1 million on a ticket, the Massachusetts State Lottery announced Friday. The Barre resident "plans on sharing his good fortune with his family," much like he did last time, lottery officials said.
Peddle took the one-time cash option of $650,000, minus tax withholdings. He bought the winning ticket at Quabbin Plaza Liquors in Barre. The store earned a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
Peddle won the $10 million in May 2014. He also bought that ticket at a Barre store.
Peddle's winning $1 million ticket was the fourth this week in the $30 "The Fastest Road to $1 Million" game, according to lottery officials.
