A tornado watch is in effect until 10 p.m. Friday night in Western Massachusetts.
The affected counties include: Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties. The watch is stretching to Connecticut and Vermont as well.

Ping pong-sized hail, wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour, and yes, actual tornadoes are possible, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.
During a tornado watch: •Watch the sky and stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio, commercial TV/radio •Be prepared to take shelter immediately.
