Travelnitch Receives Grant Award from NMFA

Seed funding to support the launch of new World on Wheels program

A nonprofit inspiring local families through travel has just been awarded a $1000 grant from the National Military Family Association (NMFA). This news comes at a time when Travelnitch is kicking off their fall fundraising campaign to launch The World on Wheels.

Amanda Renna, Founder & CEO of the Monson-based nonprofit, qualified for funding as a long-time military spouse. “The Air Force has been such a blessing for our family. Now, as I pursue my own professional dreams as the founder of Travelnitch, I’m so grateful for this seed money to get our newest program off the ground.”

The World on Wheels is a mobile marketplace with one goal—encouraging families to explore more together through discounted books, games, and crafts. Proceeds will support additional programming and the purchase of travel literature for kids living in disadvantaged communities. Renna hopes, “…in collaboration with schools, hospitals, and other nonprofits, we will continue to reach little explorers everywhere.”

Travelnitch is currently seeking community partners who share this passion for travel and wish to be recognized as a VIP (Very Important Partner). Sponsors who give $1000+ will receive prominent logo placement on the trailer. Those who give $500+ will receive name recognition on the trailer. All gifts over $100 will be recognized during a kick-off celebration in early Spring. Travelnitch is a 501(c)(3) public charity which means all gifts are 100% tax-deductible. Those who are interested, can donate online at wow.travelnitch.org.

The NMFA provides funding to support the education, career, or business goals of military spouses. Founded in 1969 by a handful of military spouses, their mission to stand up for, support, and enhance the quality of life for every military family has continued to thrive through bold advocacy, innovative programming, and dynamic and responsive solutions.
