Trying to Keep Hobbs on the Farm: Man Says 'Rascal' Dog May Be Taken From Him
A Worcester man is trying to raise money for an electric fence so they can keep their dog at a farm in Oakham.

WORCESTER, MA—Not long ago, Hobbs the dog ran into some trouble, and his owner Brandon Booth said "the dog officer is trying to remove him from his home."
Creating a GoFundMe account, Booth has already raised the $1,500 he was asking for to buy an electric fence.
Booth told Patch that Hobbs lives on a farm in Oakham with 10-11 men who are in recovery.
"He is a rascal who loves to play with the animals," said Booth. "We have sheep, chicken, llama, pigs and turkeys and he loves them all, especially chasing the turkeys and playing tag with the pigs. We have a lot of land out there and the guys work the farm during the day."
While Hobbs interacts with the farm animals, Booth said that sometimes he catches a scene or spots a squirrel and decides to "go for a walk" and ends up down the road or at a neighbor's house. Also, with a horse farm down the road, Hobbs like to make visits there, too.
"One time, he and a neighbor's dug went and jumped in their pool," said Booth, who said the the animal control officer has picked up Hobbs as much as six times, and "wants him contained or removed from the property for his and public safety."
Booth is still raising funds in an effort to install the fence.
