Two 305-Pound Binocular Units Stolen From Small Town
Two scenic viewers have been stolen in Florida (the town, not the state.)
State Police are looking into the theft of two scenic viewers stolen from a tiny town in Western Massachusetts.
Police say two of the binocular units located next to the Eastern Summit Gift Shop on Route 2 in Florida were removed from the platform and taken. Police believe the theft happened between Feb. 27-March 7.
Florida is a town in Berkshire County with a population under 1,000.
The bronze and cast iron binoculars, manufactured by Tower Optical, weight about 305 pounds each. They are considered collectibles.
