WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police stopped two known gang members during a drug investigation on Monday night, which led to one arrest and the confiscation of a firearm. Around 8:20 p.m., police stopped a car near the Washington Square Rotary with two known gang members inside. When police attempted to pat-frisk one of the men - Tyvon Williams - he punched the officer in the eye and ran. Williams ignored all commands to stop, but officers apprehended him and found that he was in possession of a loaded firearm.Williams, 25, of 50 Murray Ave., Worcester, was charged with Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License.The investigation is ongoing.Photo via Shutterstock
