Two Trains Collide, 3 Injured In Spencer

The collision happened early Sunday morning south of downtown Spencer, according to officials.

SPENCER, MA — Three people were injured early Sunday morning in a train collision near Spencer, according to firefighters.

The Spencer Fire Department reported near 2:30 a.m. that two trains had collided along CSX railroad tracks near Gauthier Road. Personnel on the trains were found trapped at the scene, the department reported.

The three people injured in the collision were taken to a UMass Memorial hospital in Worcester, according to the department.
