Victims In Charlton Murder-Suicide Identified

CHARLTON, MA — The man and woman who died in a murder-suicide over the weekend were identified Tuesday afternoon by Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr.

Police went to a Southbridge Road home near 7 p.m. Saturday after a 911 call about a shooting. Officers first found Keith Cuthbertson, 49, dead of a self-inflicted gunshot in the home. Nearby they found Kristen Carey, 37, with multiple gunshot wounds.

The person who called 911 had reported hearing a man and woman arguing at the home, according to the prosecutor's office. Authorities did not say how Cuthbertson and Carey knew each other, but did say they both lived at the Southbridge Road home where they were found.
