Visitation For Slain Worcester Police Officer Tuesday
The visitation will be at Our Lady of the Angels Church.
WORCESTER, MA — Visitation for slain Worcester Police Officer Kurt Solomon was scheduled for Tuesday.
Visitation was set for 4-7 p.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St.
Solomon was a 31-year veteran of the police force.
“Officer Solomon dedicated more than three decades of his life to serving the City of Worcester,” the New England Police Benevolent Association said last week. “Throughout his distinguished career, he earned the respect of those who served alongside him and was known as an incredibly dependable officer, colleague and friend.”
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of his wife, Karen Solomon, in connection with his death.
Karen Solomon, 58, was last seen about 5:45 a.m. Tuesday wearing shorts and a T-shirt, the police department said in a social media post.
"There is a warrant for her arrest. She may have a weapon," the post said, warning residents not to approach her.
