Wanted Man Who Left Kidnapped Son In Worcester Arrested In NYC
A Hartford man who was suspected of stabbing his girlfriend, kidnapping her son and leaving the boy in Worcester, has been arrested in NYC.

WORCESTER, MA- A Connecticut man who was wanted in connection with the stabbing of his girlfriend and kidnapping of her 6-year-old son has been arrested in New York City.
Edgar Manuel Maldonado of Hartford had a warrant out for for attempted murder, first-degree assault, second-degree kidnapping and risk of injury to a minor. Police say he stabbed his girlfriend over 30 times on Tuesday. Hartford Police say she is in "stable but critical condition".
Police said he then ran off with her young son, leaving him in a car on Providence Street in Worcester. The boy was found wandering the street and police reunited him with family.
Maldonado was captured in New York City Wednesday morning.
