WORCESTER, MA — On Thursday, Sam James plays at Loft 266.
On Friday, the Drunken Uncles knock out the hits acoustically at Park Grill and Spirits, starting at 6 p.m.; Jim Perry goes solo at the Canal Restaurant; Rival Roots, Wicked Men, the Littlest Giant and Merrimack Delta Dubset split the night at the Cove Music Hall; the high energy Elemental is at Beatnik’s; Doctor Robert rocks the Cigar Bar; No Alibi plays the first of two nights at Sakura Tokyo; How Bizarre hits on the ‘90s at Padavano’s Place; and the musical comedy 42nd Street opens at the Hanover Theatre, continuing through Sunday.
On Saturday, Jazzed Up plays an earlier show (at 7:30 p.m.) at Pho Dakao, on Park Ave.; Babe Pino blows the harp with his blues band at the White Eagle on Green Street; The Russo Brothers play at Vincent’s; Linda Dagnello’s jazz group does Nick’s; busy guy Jim Perry sets up at Padavano’s Place; and Uncle Billy’s Smokehouse kills it at Greendale’s Pub.
On Sunday, the ice is open for a public skate at Worcester Common from noon to 5 p.m. (only $2 admission and $3 skate rental); and Milk Street Station plays groove rock, blues, soul, jazz and more at Beatnik’s, starting at 2 p.m.
