WGBH Opening Worcester News Bureau
The WGBH bureau will be located in a former Worcester Telegram & Gazette office, according to the station.

WORCESTER, MA — A new player is entering the Worcester news scene. WGBH is planning to open a bureau in downtown Worcester soon with a news reporter dedicated to covering the region, the station said on Tuesday.
The new bureau will be located at 27 Federal St. — the home of the Worcester Telegram and Gazette until the mid-1970s — and will open this spring, although an exact date has not been set. The bureau will broadcast Worcester news on 89.7 FM and on the WGBH website.
The Worcester bureau will be funded in part with grants from the C. Jean & Myles McDonough Charitable Foundation and the George F. and Sybil H. Fuller Foundation, the station said.
