Winter Parking Ban To Go Into Effect In Worcester
The parking ban applies to emergency arteries, WRTA bus routes, and critical traffic routes.
WORCESTER, MA — A winter parking ban will soon go into effect in the city.
Worcester announced its permanent winter parking ban will begin Dec. 1 and will continue through Apr. 30, or Apr. 1 for residential streets. The parking ban applies to emergency arteries, WRTA bus routes, and critical traffic routes. There is no parking on one or both sides of the street between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., and at any time a snow emergency is declared.
You can find an online mapping tool of the streets affected here.
There could also be a Declared Winter Parking Ban whenever accumulating snow is forecast. During those times, parking is only allowed on the odd-numbered side of other streets.
Vehicles that violate the parking ban will be ticketed and towed.
