Woman Charged In Fatal Crash That Killed 2 In Worcester County

A 20-year-old is accused of driving under the influence in a December crash that killed two passengers.

BARRE, MA — A 20-year-old woman from North Brookfield was arraigned Wednesday in Worcester Superior Court in connection with a December 2025 crash that killed two passengers, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Faith O’Rourke faces multiple charges, including two counts each of involuntary manslaughter, manslaughter by motor vehicle, motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation, and motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence and reckless operation. She is also charged with operating under the influence and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

The judge set bail at $5,000 and ordered O’Rourke to have no contact with the victims’ families or any witnesses. She must also refrain from driving, remain alcohol-free, and submit to random screenings.

The charges stem from a Dec. 26, 2025, single-vehicle crash on Hubbardston Road. Authorities said O’Rourke was driving a BMW that went off the roadway.

Two passengers in the vehicle, Connor Post, 20, and Michael Publicover, 19, were killed in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the Barre Police Department, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
