Woman Dies After Getting Hit By Driver In Worcester

The 25-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were hit while crossing Southwest Cutoff on Thursday.

WORCESTER, MA — A 25-year-old woman died Thursday after she was hit by a driver in an SUV along Southwest Cutoff near the Auburn-Worcester line.

According to Worcester police, the woman was crossing near a Wendy's with a 30-year-old man when they were hit by a Jeep driven by a 45-year-old man from Plymouth. Both pedestrians were taken to a local hospital, which is where the woman died.

The man's injuries were not serious, police said.

Police said the two pedestrians were crossing from the south side of Southwest Cutoff toward the Wendy's when they were hit. Police did not immediately say if the driver would face any charges or citations.
