Worcester Sees First 2020 Homicide After Stabbing
A 27-year-old woman died after she was stabbed late Tuesday night at a home along Meade Street.

WORCESTER, MA — A 27-year-old woman died after a stabbing late Tuesday night at a home in Worcester along Meade Street, according to police. One person has been arrested in connection to the killing.
Just before midnight, police responded to a residence at 1 Meade St. for a reported stabbing. Inside, they found a 27-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man with stab wounds.
The woman died later at a hospital. The man's wounds were non-life threatening, police said.
After the stabbing, police arrested and charged Naomi Lawrence, 29, with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Lawrence was a resident at the Meade Street home, police said.
This is the second stabbing in Worcester this week. Worcester police were called to an Elm Street apartment for a fight Friday night that left a 28-year-old man with a stab wound to the cheek.
This is the first homicide in Worcester so far in 2020.
