Woman Pulled From Burning Home In Spencer
A woman was taken to UMass Medical Center in Worcester after the three-alarm fire on Wednesday afternoon.
SPENCER, MA — A man pulled his neighbor from a burning home in Spencer early Wednesday morning, almost certainly saving the woman's life.
The fire broke out around 8 a.m. Wednesday at a home along Holmes Road. The neighbor smashed through the front window to get inside the home and pull the woman out, according to CBS Boston.
The fire engulfed the home and eventually grew to three alarms, according to the Spencer Fire Department.
The woman was taken to UMass Medical Center in Worcester for treatment. The state Fire Marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire, firefighters said.
