Suspect Arrested In Worcester Woman's Stabbing Death

WORCESTER, MA — The man wanted in connection to the Wednesday stabbing death of a Worcester woman was arrested on Friday. Thomas Bergstrom, 36, turned himself in to police in Blackstone, according to Worcester police.
Worcester police went to a Lapierre Street home at around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a stabbing. They found Jeniffer Gisselle Rivera Vazquez, 34, with multiple stab wounds in a bedroom at the home. She later died at a local hospital.
On Thursday afternoon, police said they were looking to question Bergstrom about the death. But on Friday morning, a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to MassLive.
Bergstrom was arrested Friday on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. According to social media, Bergstrom and Rivera Vazquez were in a relationship.

The last killing in Worcester happened Sept. 8 when Juan Mendez, 37, was shot to death along Country Club Boulevard. Police have arrested two men in that killing, Juan Guitierrez, 24, of Southbridge, and Kenneth Vazquez, 21, of Worcester.
