WORCESTER, MA — The 2019 Worcester election is going to be a big one, literally.

Two races — City Council at-large and the Worcester School Committee — have more than ten people running. Not to mention the contested District 5 City Council seat, and the mayoral election.

To help you prepare for Election Day, Patch has put together a voting guide to help you pick candidates and find your nearest polling location — plus other pertinent election information.

Where, When To Vote

Polls are open in Massachusetts from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you're going to be away from Worcester on Nov. 5, you can apply for an absentee ballot. The deadline to apply for one is noon on Nov. 4.
There are 50 polling locations across Worcester's 10 precincts. You can find map of all the polling locations on the City Clerk's website.

Earlier this year, Patch sent questionnaires to every person running in a contested race in the Nov. 5 election. Click on a candidate's name to see their profile. Candidates with no link did not respond. We will be updating this list as more responses come in before Election Day.

Campaign Spending

Want to know how much money candidates raised and spent before the Nov. 5 election? You can search by name on the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance website. All candidates were required to file their pre-election campaign finance reports by 11:50 p.m. on Oct. 28.

Worcester Election Results

Patch will be covering the Nov. 5 election live, and will send out an alert about results as soon as they are available. But you can typically find election results an hour or two after polls close on Nov. 5 at the City Clerk website.
