Worcester 2019 Election Results: Mayor Joseph Petty Re-Elected
Worcester Mayor Joseph Petty won re-election in a landslide, taking more than 60 percent of the vote in a four-candidate race.

WORCESTER, MA — The unofficial results of the 2019 Worcester city and school elections are in. The results show many incumbents on their way to another term, including Worcester Mayor Joseph Petty.
There were four major contests in the 2019 election, including the mayoral race, at-large City Council seats, District 5 City Council, and at-large School Committee. There were uncontested races in City Council districts 1, 2, 3, and 4.
In the last municipal election in 2017, just over 15 percent of voters turned out — 16,300 of the total 107,000 registered voters in the city. That race featured a similar slate of offices up for election, including mayor, at-large City Council, and districts 1 to 6 City Council.
For the two at-large races, voters were asked to make six choices. We are only listing the top six vote-getters in each race.
