Worcester Actor To Play Whitey Bulger Girlfriend At Boston Theatre
Lin Hult is co-starring in "Hunting Whitey" at the Wilbur Theatre.

WORCESTER, MA — Actor Lin Hult will co-star in the stage play "Hunting Whitey." The sold-out show will be at the Wilbur Theatre on May 16.
The Worcester actor will play the role of Catherine Greig, long-time girlfriend of notorious Boston crime boss James “Whitey” Bulger.
The play stars popular TV and film actor Neal McDonough ("Yellowstone," "Justified"), who will return to his native Boston to play notorious Irish crime boss James “Whitey” Bulger in the stage adaption of the true crime bestseller "Hunting Whitey: The Untold Story of the Capture and Killing of America’s Most Wanted Crime Boss" written by Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge, according to a statement.

Comedian and actor Steve Sweeney ("The Greatest Beer Run Ever," "Me, Myself & Irene") has also joined the cast. The play will be directed by Ian Barrett, ("Godsmack’s," "Come Together").
Hult also portrayed Grieg in a live version of the podcast "Saints, Sinners & Serial Killers." The multimedia event featured live reenactments of pivotal moments in true crime, from the Bulger saga to the search for the Boston Strangler.

Greig was captured with Bulger by the FBI and U.S. Marshals in 2011 at an apartment complex in Santa Monica, California. Greig went on to serve an eight-year sentence for aiding Bulger during his fugitive years. She completed her sentence in 2020 and was last known to be living in South Boston.
Bulger, an FBI informant, fled Massachusetts in 1994 after he learned of a federal probe into his criminal organization. He was beaten to death in a West Virginia prison in 2018 while serving a life sentence on murder charges.
