Worcester Airport Emergency Drill May Limit Access
Don't be alarmed if you see a lot of police and fire activity at Worcester Airport today, it's just a drill.
WORCESTER, MA — Travelers and local residents might see a lot of emergency activity at Worcester Regional Airport on Wednesday morning — but don't worry, it's just a drill.
The drill will last from 9 a.m. to noon, and access to the airport may limited, according to Massport. Police and firefighters were using the airport to train in an active-shooter situation, according to state police.
A public safety drill is taking place today, Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at Worcester Regional Airport from 9am-12pm. Airport access will be limited. Public safety vehicles from multiple agencies and first responder activity may be increased in the area during this time.
