WORCESTER, MA — Worcester canceled school on Thursday morning, the first snow day since a round of storms in December. Not much snow fell overnight, but streets were slippery due to some icing.

Mixed precipitation was expected to last through the morning rush hour, according to the National Weather Service.

The school district also canceled Head Start, and before and after school activities. The district's administration building will be open to employees only.
