Worcester Chamber Music Society Presents Intimate Shows At Nuovo

The program will feature Ferdinand Reis's Flute Quartet in D minor and Haydn's Symphony No. 104, chamber arrangement.

From Worcester Chamber Music Society: Worcester Chamber Music Society (WCMS) will bring music and food together for two intimate performances at Nuovo Restaurant in Worcester on Thursday, October 11 at 6:30pm for dinner and Sunday, October 14 at 11:00am for brunch.

The program will feature Ferdinand Reis’s Flute Quartet in D minor and Haydn’s Symphony No. 104, chamber arrangement. Musicians include: Tracy Kraus, flute; Rohan Gregory, violin; Peter Sulski, viola; David Russell, cello with guests Omar Chen Guey, violin and Thomas Van Dyke, double bass.

“We are so excited to be playing the Ferdinand Reis Flute Quartet for the first time,” WCMS Executive Director Tracy Kraus said. “With violinist Omar Chen Guey from the Grammy award-winning ensemble ‘A Far Cry’ and double bassist Thomas Van Dyke from the Boston Symphony Orchestra joining us on stage this year, it is sure to be a truly memorable performance.”

Dinner and brunch will take place at Worcester’s Nuovo Restaurant, serving Italian cuisine with a Mediterranean flare and an extensive wine list. Tickets are available now at www.worcesterchambermusic.org. Dinner and concert: $66; Brunch and concert: $60; and Concert only: $30.
