Worcester Christmas Tree Disposal Begins: DPW
Worcester began accepting Christmas trees on Dec. 27 at three sites across the city.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester began collecting Christmas trees for disposal Tuesday at three sites across the city.
This 2022 collection period will last from Dec. 27 to Jan. 8. The sites will be open 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. A single disposal location along Millbury Street will be open on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The three sites will be closed on New Year's Day and the federal holiday on Jan. 2 observing New Year's.

Here are the three sites for 2022 Christmas tree disposal:
- 1065 Millbury St. at the city's main residential dropoff center
- 300 Chandler St. in the youth center parking lot across from Foley Stadium
- 299 Clark St. near the intersection with East Mountain Road
The city will only accept trees from residents (proof required) when the drop sites are open. Trees have to be free of any ornaments, including tinsel.
