Worcester Closes School Due To Snow
Ice and up to 5 inches of snow will fall in the area during a snowstorm expected to last throughout the day Tuesday.
WORCESTER, MA — Worcester Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday due to a messy snowstorm. The storm is expected to bring up to 4 inches of snow in the area, plus icing.
Worcester schools made the announcement about school closing just before 5 a.m. on Tuesday.
Due to the inclement weather, there will be NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. Head Start, before and after school activities, and programs are also cancelled. The Administration Offices will be closed to the public, but open to employees. @TweetWorcester pic.twitter.com/5Eaf1S1c48

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Worcester County until 7 p.m. Tuesday. The advisory calls for between 2 and 5 inches of snow, plus a glazing of ice. Drivers can expect a mix of snow, sleet, rain, and ice during the morning commute, according to the forecast.
